We’re nearly there! After months of hard work, community effort, and overcoming challenge after challenge, Greenhill Gardens is now in its final phase of development – and the excitement is building across the team and the city.
As we write this, the resin-bark floors are drying, our “Coming Soon” signs are up and installed, and you can feel the anticipation in the air. It’s all happening – and we’re roughly six to eight weeks away from a truly special launch.

Final electrical works are being completed for lighting and usability in next few weeks

The heritage trail is undergoing its last review before being voiced and printed

Our media and signage designs are being prepared for installation

Beautiful trees, flowers, and topsoil will continue to fill out the space in the coming weeks

Lighting plans are underway to make sure the gardens glow in all seasons

And yes – opening party planning has begun! 🎉
This has been a project of transformation, honouring the history of the site while building something for future generations. A space of rest, memory, beauty, and community.
