How Matthew's House can help
Matthew’s House operates through expressions of hope. We currently have a pay-as-you-feel waste food cafe called Matt’s Cafe and provide dignity packs filled with essential hygiene products as part of The Homeless Period Swansea. Both can be accessed on site through our opening times or by messaging our contact number. We have shower and laundry facilities in the building that are available through a referral system.
Matthew’s House exists to provide a warm and welcoming building in the heart of Swansea, with the expressed intention of being accessible for the homeless and most vulnerable. We aim for it to have the feel of a home where hospitality is experienced by all who enter the doors, regardless of their background, beliefs or circumstances.
Cooked Meal Support
One of our Expressions Matt’s Cafe offers food on a pay as you feel basis. You don’t need a referral or booking to join us. Everyone is welcome and we run the cafe with table service and you are welcome to make a donation if you feel you can, otherwise we just want to feed you.
Warm spaces/Cost of living support
We have a warm and welcoming cafe. We run on a pay-as-you-fell basis but donations are not necessary. We have charger points and warm drinks available and run three days a week. We also run other expressions of hope for those needing support in Swansea.
