FinTech Wales Networking Event Brings Community and Collaboration to Matthew’s House
Earlier in October, Matthew’s House had the privilege of hosting the FinTech Wales Breakfast Networking Event — a special morning filled with conversation, connection, and community spirit.
Around 30 local professionals from the financial and technology sectors gathered in our Cafe to enjoy breakfast, meet new faces, and hear about the work we do every day to bring hospitality and hope to Swansea. The atmosphere was buzzing as guests shared ideas, made introductions, and learned more about how compassion and collaboration can strengthen a city.
The event gave us a beautiful opportunity to share the heart of Matthew’s House — the meals served, the lives changed, and the community that grows around our tables. We were deeply moved by the interest and support shown, with several guests signing up to become Friends of Matthew’s House, pledging regular gifts to help sustain our work. Others offered professional advice, skills, and services to help us grow stronger as a project.
A huge thank you goes to Sarah Williams Gardener for bringing us together and helping to make this event possible, and to the FinTech Wales team for choosing to host their breakfast with us.
As conversations continued over pastries and coffee, it was clear that partnerships like these make a real difference. They connect business with purpose, people with people, and remind us that hope multiplies when shared.
💛 Thank you, FinTech Wales, for being part of our story — and for helping us keep serving Swansea with compassion and care.
