Updated Food and Friendship Poster Released for Swansea Support Services

Helping People Find Food, Friendship, Support and Community Across the City

Matthew’s House Swansea is delighted to share the latest updated version of the Food and Friendship poster for Swansea, helping people know where they can find food, encouragement, support and community throughout the week.

The poster brings together organisations from across the city who are standing together to support people facing hardship, loneliness, homelessness, poverty and difficult moments in life.

We are especially excited to welcome Swansea MAD and The Storyteller as new additions to the growing network of support services involved.

At Matthew’s House, we have always believed that food is about far more than a meal.

Around a table, barriers come down.
Conversations begin.
Relationships form.
And hope starts to grow.

That is why this poster matters so much.

It highlights the incredible churches, charities, projects and community organisations across Swansea who are not only offering food, but also friendship, dignity, listening ears and practical support.

Together, these organisations are helping ensure there is somewhere people can go throughout the week to find welcome, connection and encouragement.

In recent years, some support services across the city have faced significant challenges through rising costs, changing volunteer capacity and funding pressures. Some projects have had to reduce services or close sessions altogether.

That is why seeing this network continue to grow and adapt is genuinely encouraging.

We are hugely thankful to every volunteer, church, charity, support worker and organisation involved. The work happening quietly across Swansea each week is making a real difference in people’s lives.

The updated Food and Friendship posters will now begin appearing across the city and online, helping people access the support available to them more easily.

If your organisation offers regular food and friendship support in Swansea and is not currently included, or if details need updating in future editions, we would love to hear from you.

Because when a city works together, hope becomes easier to find. 💛
