A Powerful Reflection on the Swans Big Sleep Out

Over £46,000 Raised for Our City

As we look back on the Swans Big Sleep Out 2025, one article has captured the heart of the night beautifully. Broadcaster, writer and long time supporter Mal Pope shared a moving reflection on the event in his piece, The Big Sleep Out.

Mal has supported Matthew’s House and the Swansea Big Sleep Out for several years and his words once again reminded us why this night matters so much. He spoke honestly about the cold, the challenge, the togetherness and the deep purpose behind the event. We are incredibly thankful for him, for his encouragement and for his continued commitment to shining a light on homelessness and hope in Swansea.

The Sleep Out brought one hundred and ten people together in the Swansea dot com Stadium bowl, standing in solidarity with those who face homelessness, addiction, isolation and hardship. Stories were shared, relationships were strengthened and the sense of community was powerful from start to finish.

And today we are humbled to share the final fundraising total:
Just over £46,000 raised
This will make a real and lasting difference for the people supported by Matthew’s House and the Swansea City AFC Foundation.
