Four Years of Hope in Swansea – A Gift to Our City

Four years on, Hope in Swansea continues to do exactly what its name promises — bring hope.

Over the years, we’ve seen the app become a lifeline for many:
💬 Guests in Matthew’s House sharing how it’s helped them find the right support.
💬 Conversations in prisons with people planning for life after release, knowing they’ll need it to guide them when they return to Swansea.
💬 Volunteers and support workers using it daily to connect people with the help they need.

Now, with extra volunteer support behind the scenes, the app has grown to feature over 170 approved support services — each verified so people can trust the information is accurate and up to date.

Just last week, during one of our regular verification sessions, we reviewed one of our very first registered members — the Red Community Project. After we’d finished updating their details, they made a point of sharing:

“Thanks so much, it’s brilliant that the Hope in Swansea app acts as a place for all the work across Swansea to be seen in one place.”

That was always the dream: to simplify, connect, and provide those in need with a single place to find the help and hope they deserve.

Four years on, that dream is still alive — and it’s still a gift from us to our city. 💛
