Swans Big Sleepout 2026: Building Towards Another Special Night

We were delighted to spend time this week with Emma and Claire from the Swansea City AFC Foundation at the Swansea.com Stadium, as planning begins for this year’s Swans Big Sleepout.

The event has quickly become a highlight in the calendar, bringing together the football club, local organisations, and the wider community to stand in solidarity with those facing homelessness and hardship in our city.

For Thom Lynch, Project Leader at Matthew’s House, the partnership holds particular meaning:

“As a Swans fan through and through, and a season ticket holder, it is a real privilege to bring the club I love together with the work we do day to day. It is special to see that connection making a difference in our city.”

Last year’s Sleepout was a powerful success. Over 100 people took part, raising more than £40,000. Funds were shared between Matthew’s House and the Swansea City AFC Foundation, supporting vital work with some of the most vulnerable people in Swansea.

Beyond the fundraising, the night was marked by powerful stories, shared experiences, and a strong sense of community.

Planning is now underway for the 2026 event, with a number of improvements being explored to allow even more people to take part. The team hopes to grow the event while keeping its heart and purpose firmly in place.

As part of this, we are inviting organisations to partner with us as event sponsors. We are looking for five key sponsors who want to play a meaningful role in the event and help maximise the impact of funds raised. Sponsorship includes places at the event, recognition across materials, and most importantly, the opportunity to be part of something that is changing lives locally.

We are committed to keeping event costs as low as possible, ensuring that funds raised go directly to supporting the work of both organisations.

The Swans Big Sleepout will return this November, with full details and sign up information to be released this summer.

If your organisation would be interested in sponsoring the event, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch with Thom or the Swansea City AFC Foundation team to find out more.

Together, we are building something that brings hope, raises awareness, and makes a lasting difference in Swansea.
